As the Design Lead and Art Mentor at the not-for-profit organisation Enterprise19, I oversaw the design element of a fantastic ongoing business initiative focused on creating bespoke gift products. We collaborated with local companies to source blank products, which we then repackaged and transformed into branded gifts sold through our online shop. All profits generated were reinvested into training programs and creating opportunities for our team of young people with disabilities.
My role involved conducting regular illustration and graphic design workshops for our participating artists and creators. I also worked closely with a team of graphic design trainees, guiding them in transforming artwork into packaging, labelling, point-of-sale materials, and promotional designs that aligned with our brand guidelines.
This continuous process enabled us to train more young people while also developing custom product ranges for seasonal events such as Christmas, Easter, Back to School, and Valentine’s Day. Additionally, we created personalized products for individuals and bespoke items for local companies that approached us.
